Keith Fink

Keith has been the in the pastorate for 24 years. He served as Senior Pastor at St. Paul's (Somerset, PA) before coming to Great Valley. Keith's love for our Lord, His Word, and His people are evident through his sincere desire to faithfully proclaim God's Word with passion. It is Keith's personal prayer "to be used by God to equip and encourage God's people to live into the purpose for which our Lord has made them." Keith graduated from Wheaton College with a BS degree in biology and has received his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Sharon Smoker

Sharon Smoker earned a Bachelor degree in Music Performance from Wheaton College. Since then Sharon has served the Lord through music in a number of church locations. Upon moving to Pennsylvania, Sharon joined Great Valley’s staff as the church organist in 2000. Sharon plays for worship services and special events throughout the year. Sharon and her husband, Steve, whom she met at Wheaton, are actively involved in the ministries of Great Valley Presbyterian Church. When she is not teaching piano or practicing the organ, Sharon can be found pursuing her favorite sports or scrapbooking. Sharon can be reached at office@gvpres.org or at 610-644-1995.

Jim Shackleton

Jim joined the Great Valley staff in 2005 after actively serving the Church for 20 years. Jim earned an engineering degree from Lafayette in 1981 and spent 22 years in engineering and management. Jim has worked with the youth and adult programs for 25 years. In 2006, Jim graduated with a Masters in Ministry from Biblical Theological Seminary. Jim and Lynne have four boys: Ben, Dan, Tim, and Nate, all of whom are transitioned or transitioning out of the Shack household and being disciples in their own communities. Chris Starr

Chris joined the staff of Great Valley as the Director of Music Ministry in 2010. He and his wife Vicky and daughter Aria live in Royersford. Chris earned a Bachelor of Music with a vocal performance emphasis from Susquehanna University. While at Susquehanna, Chris and Vicky led the children’s choir at St. Paul’s Church and Chris also directed the Handbell choir. Before coming to Great Valley, Chris studied choral conducting and earned a Master of Arts in Music at Mansfield University. Chris works at a local accounting firm. Karen Erickson

Karen has been a member of GVPC for almost thirty years. Having previously taught at Collegium Charter School, West Chester Friends School, Paoli Methodist Nursery School, Christ Memorial Lutheran School, and Goshen Baptist Nursery School for a combined total of nineteen years, Karen founded the Preschool in the Valley in 2004 and has managed the staff and the operations ever since. Karen holds a BS from Houghton and has done graduate work at Immaculata University. Karen is married to Craig, and they have three adult sons, Steven, Christian, and Peter. In her free time she is an avid reader, loves gardening, and boating. Karen can be reached at gvpcpreschool@comcast.net.

Karen Bittenbender

Karen Bittenbender has served as our church secretary since 1996. She is a master of details and knowledge regarding the functions of the church, the calendar and congregation. She is married to Bruce and has two adult daughters, Natalie and Alyssa. She is a Deacon in her church and loves singing in the choir of which she has been a member for 20 years. Karen is also an avid reader, loves gardening, and boating with her husband on the Chesapeake. Her office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
